History
VFA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1978 to help Vietnamese refugees and immigrants adjust to life in the US after the Vietnam War. The organization offered ESL courses, employment, and citizenship services. In the past few years the VFA has shifted focus to promoting academic success, leadership development, parental involvement, cultural enrichment and community service among underprivileged families with school-age youth. VFA undergoes constant changes to better serve the Greater Seattle community. Today, VFA offers mentoring, parent advocacy services, tutoring, and summer and after-school programs, as well as cultural enrichment and bridging programs.
