The Vietnamese Youth Mentoring Network aims to provide Vietnamese youth with more one-on-one attention. This mentoring program was launched in May 2008, and has been one of VFA’s many piloting programs. Volunteer mentors dedicate at least 10 hours a month to their mentee, and are required to keep a log of their progress. Each matched is carefully assessed, and each relationship is based upon the youth’s need, and the mentor’s ability to encourage growth in those needed areas.
